best 5G phone under 15000
If you're a regular on the channel you'll already know who realme are. As a 5G leader it'srealme's mission in 2021 to accelerate and popularize 5G technology in its key markets like the UK and Europe. Let's go ahead and get this unboxed and see what it has to offer. So inside the box you'reinitially presented with a welcome message.
There's a SIM card tool, some paperwork, as well as a clear case, which is still included at this price. Another thing that is included which we don't get includedon many of the devices is an 18 watt fast charger. As well as that you have a USBType A to USB Type C cable. And here it is. The first thing you'll noticeis just how thin it is. This is the thinnest 5Gsmartphone in its segment, coming in at just 8.5 millimeters thin, and it weighs just 185 grams. We've got what realme calledthe Dynamic Speed Light Design. And this is a supersonic black which uses a lenticular patterned process to present a premium mirror effect. And the realme 8 5G is also available in a supersonic blue color.
Let's now take a look at the display. This is it's 6.5 inchFull HD plus 90 Hertz ultra smooth display. So you do have in 90 Hertz refresh rate which is going to makeeverything a lot smoother. You also have 180 Hertztouch sampling rate making everything very responsive. With a peak brightness of 600 nits. Again, having a displaywith 90 Hertz at this price is very very impressive. To power the realme 8 5G. We have the MediaTekDimensity 700 5G chipset. Now this is a really impressive chipset because it gives you agood amount of performance. So this will be great for yourday-to-day as well as gaming. But also it brings 5G to the masses. Having 5G is super convenient. If you're in an area that has 5G support you'll really appreciate the higher speeds with lower latency. Whether that be for gaming, downloading apps, or streaming movies. But not only that with the Dimensity 700 you also have supportfor dual 5G SIM cards, with dual standAnd that means you can havetwo 5G Sims on the realme 8 5G active at the same time. And what's even more impressive is as well as space for those two SIM cards in the triple slot SIM card tray you also have space for a micro SD card. So you can expand thestorage on the realme 8 5G and you can get 128 gigabytes of onboard storage witheight gigabytes of Ram. Now one of the things thatyou might be thinking is, okay you've got two 5G SIMcards at the same time. How is that going to affect battery life? Well, the realme 8 5G has a feature called smart 5G power saving. Now this can intelligently sense the surrounding signal environment, and seamlessly switch between 4G and 5G without any switching time. And this achieves 30%lower power consumption compared to phones without this feature. But on top of that you do have a massive5,000 milliamp-hour battery which is going to last you all day long. It's definitely quite impressive how realme have managed tofit in such a large battery in a device that's thisthin and this light. Of course you do get that18 watt charger included out of the box. So you're not going to have to go out and get that separately. And let's now talk about the cameras. So upfront, we do have a16 megapixel selfie camera which is within that punch out.
And then we have a triplerear facing camera setup with a primary 48 megapixelnightscape camera. And then you have a black and white sensor which is going to help withportraits as well as a macro camera which will help you getcloser up to your subjects. Now if we take a quicklook around the device we don't have anything at the top. On the left-hand side,we have the SIM card tray with the volume rocker. On the right hand sidewe have a power button which also doubles up asa fingerprint scanner. And it's a very, very fast. And at the bottom wehave a USB Type C port, the bottom firing speaker, as well as a 3.5millimeter headphone jack. Again, something elsethat we really don't see on many of the smartphones these days. For software we have realmeUI 2.0 out of the box, and that's based upon Android 11.
And it gives you over 100 customizations. And this is something thatI personally really like about realme UI. It really allows you tomake your device your own. You can easily customizeeverything from your icons to even choose between lotsof different dark modes. So that's everything that youget with the reralme 8 5G. And as mentioned, all of that is for a recommendedretail price of 199 pounds. However, I did mention thatthere's an early bird offer. And if you do get this early, you will be paying just 179 pounds. 179 pounds for a 5G capable device with a 90 Hertz refresh rate. 5,000 milliamp-hour battery, dual 5G SIM card support a micro SD card slot, a 3.5millimeter headphone jack. You've got all of these features for a very very competitive price.
If you want to go aheadand pick one of these up I'll be leaving a link downin the description below. You can pre-order now on. This will be availablefrom the 20th of May. Now if you're somebody who'smaybe not fully ready for 5G maybe it's not fully supportedin your area at this time. And you want to save a little bit of money then you can alwayscheck out the realme 8. The realme 8 offers a lotof what the realme 8 5G has, and it comes with a 6.4inch Super AMOLED display a 64 megapixel AI quad camera, which includes an eightmegapixel ultra wide angle lens. The same 5,000 milliamp-hour battery but with 30 watt dock charge, which is very very fast. And the MediaTek Helio G95 processor. I'll also leave a link downin the description below to the realme 8.
Now, even if you don'tcurrently have 5G supported in your area, having a 5G device right now just makes it future-proof, and means that whenever 5Gdoes roll out to your area you'll be able to makethe most of those speeds. So that is the realme8 and the realme 8 5G. What do you guys think of it? Do drop me a comment below. Let me know your thoughts.
